In that discussion of Chinatown in our house, my wife suddenly remembered her cousins use to live virtually where the Chinese Cultural Centre is today in a line of small white clapboard 2-storey houses. She remembers visiting them in the mid 1950s as an elementary public school student. (this history-laden photo, above, for sure is representative of that era).
